Happy New Year. It feels good to be saying that.
What a difference a few months make. Not long ago we were in the thick of a heatwave with a diary full of summer weddings, festivals and long, bright days. Now we are into a new year, a new season and a new rhythm, with a little more space to look back, catch our breath and set our sights on what’s ahead.
Last summer across the South West was one to remember. From clifftop ceremonies and garden parties to packed festival fields, it was a joy to see our kit out in the wild doing what it does best. We are genuinely lucky to work alongside such talented caterers, planners, venues and suppliers, and of course with couples and families who trust us with their big moments.
A huge thank you, too, to the Abbotts team. It was a busy season with plenty of early starts, late finishes and miles covered, and the effort that went in behind the scenes kept everything running smoothly. The winter break has given everyone a chance to recharge, and we are ready for what 2026 has in store.
Looking ahead
With the festive rush behind us, attention now turns to the year ahead. We have been listening carefully to what you have been asking for, and there are some exciting additions coming to the hire range for 2026. Expect useful new back of house kit, updated tableware and a few standout pieces designed to elevate everything from relaxed sharing feasts to more polished, formal events.
Our showroom is also in the middle of a refresh. The aim is to create a warm, welcoming space where you can see ranges styled together, plan events, and bring couples or clients to get inspired. We will be sharing more on launch dates very soon.
