Who We Are
Abbotts Catering Supplies and Event Hire is the trading name of Abbotts (S.W.) Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, Company Number 04678740, trading from 17, Barncoose Industrial Estate, Redruth, Cornwall TR15 3RQ. Tel: 01209 212794. We wholesale non-food catering supplies and hire out equipment for events and functions.
What Personal Information we collect and hold
The only information that we hold for you is any or all of :

· Your correspondence and/or trading addresses
· Your telephone number
· Your email address
We will make every effort to ensure that the information that we hold is accurate and up to date.
The basis on which we collect and use your personal information
We have to have a lawful basis for collecting and holding your personal information. In our case this is on the basis of “Contract” – processing of your information is necessary for the performance of a contract/transaction now and in the future to which you, the data subject, are party or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (E.G to provide a quote). Put simply, we hold the minimum amount of data necessary to fulfil your requirements and contact you to do so.
Retention of Personal Information – We keep your personal information only as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet regulatory or legislative requirements. Personal information will be securely disposed of when it is no longer required. As a seasonal business, some customers only undertake business with us on a periodic basis so we will retain your data for no longer than 15 months, without use.
If we provide facilities to you we may pass your personal information to credit reference agencies and hey may keep a record of any search undertaken on you or any default in payment.
We do not and will not share any of your information with any third party outside the company without your express consent with the above exception and will only do so if required by law.

At some stage in the future we may seek to use your personal information for other specific business purposes to enable us to give you the best products and services. For example, processing your information to send you marketing that is tailored to your interests and providing communications which we think will be of interest to you. How we keep your information secure
We are committed to ensuring the confidentiality of the personal information that we hold and we continue to review our security controls and related policies and procedures to ensure that your personal information remains secure. Our I.T. systems are protected by cyber security to ensure safety of your data which remain under regular review and any paper records are kept securely locked space in our premises.
We have and continue to undertake training with all our staff on the requirements of GDPR and keeping your personal information confidential and secure.
In the event of a serious breach of data security we undertake to report to the Information Commissioner’s Office as the regulating authority.
It is important to reiterate that we do not share any of your personal information with any third parties other than credit reference agencies as detailed above or if we are required to do so by law.
